CalHow is operated by myzoapp ("we", "our", "the app"), a mobile app that helps you understand calories and nutrition by analyzing photos of your meals. This policy explains what information CalHow collects, how it's used, and who it's shared with.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name, via one of: email/password, Sign in with Google, or Sign in with Apple. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication (Google).
To calculate personalized calorie and macro targets, we collect information you choose to provide, which may include: gender, date of birth, height, weight, body fat percentage, activity level, dietary preferences, and your nutrition goals. You control what you enter and can update it at any time.
When you scan a meal, the photo you take or select is uploaded and analyzed to identify foods and estimate nutrition. We store the resulting meal entries (foods, calories, macros, and the photo) in your account so you can track your history.
If you log your weight over time, those entries are stored under your account to show progress trends.
If you subscribe to CalHow Pro, your purchase is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and subscription status is verified through RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
We keep a server-side daily count of AI meal scans per account to enforce free-tier limits. This is not visible or editable by the app itself.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.
CalHow relies on the following service providers to operate. Each processes only the data needed to perform its function:
We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account, including your profile, meals, and weight logs, at any time from Settings → Account & Data → Delete Account in the app. Some records — such as backend logs, uploaded photos on our storage provider, or billing records required for tax/legal purposes — may be retained separately for a limited period as required by law or our service providers' own retention policies.
Data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Your account data in our database is protected by access rules that restrict it to your own signed-in account; our backend service that performs AI analysis uses privileged server-side credentials that are never exposed to the app or other users.
CalHow is not directed at, and may not be used by, anyone under 18 years old. If we learn that someone under 18 has created an account or provided personal information, we will delete that account and its associated data as soon as reasonably possible. If you believe a user under 18 has signed up, contact us at md.sabeel10@gmail.com so we can investigate and remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to md.sabeel10@gmail.com.
